The Eco Shift's Story

1 Million plastic bottles per minute. Only 9% gets recycled.  

Recent studies points to increasing amounts of plastic within the seafood you and I eat on a regular basis.  In a Ghent University study it showed that we eat 11,000 tiny pieces of plastic each year.  

There are now 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean.  269,000 tons float on the surface and 4 billion plastic microfibers per square kilometer litters the deep sea.

At the rate we are going in it is estimated by the year 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.  

Scary facts.  

As a single parent of two girls, we consumed more than our fair share of single use plastics, especially those found in our personal care essentials.  As I started my journey into a plastic free lifestyle, I got frustrated at how few the options were.  The ones that were available are expensive, the cheap ones are drying and tough.  After tons of experimentation - The Eco Shift personal care essentials were launched in Dec 5, 2018.

We are on a mission to influence at least a million people to shift to plastic free  products the soonest possible time.

We know that the window of opportunity for us to reverse the damaged we’ve done to our only home (Earth) is getting smaller.

As much as we can we will provide plastic free essentials that are effective and affordable to help  people shift seamlessly into a plastic free lifestyle.

We begin with our personal care essentials.  Our products are plastic free, hand made, and all natural.

We only have one planet - if we won’t act now, our  children will inherit a world where there is more plastic than fish in the ocean.

We envision a world wherein the use of plastic  becomes the exception rather than the norm.
